Join us for an evening of good company and creativity with Kim McGowan at ART 634. Browse the galleries and shops and then take an evening workshop from 6-8 PM. Cost is $25 per workshop includes all supplies and light refreshments. Advance registration required. |

January 22, 6-8 PM O Brother, Where Art thou? Discovering Community Art with Summer Night Tree. This class explores the art of Louise Nevelson and her sculpture “Summer Night Tree.” You’ve probably read about it recently in the paper! We will create a 3-D work of art inspired by Nevelson using found objects and wooden forms.

March 26, 6-8 PM The Art of Altered Books. Explore the possibilities of recycling old books into works of art. These books can be used for journaling, scrapbooks or gifts. Lots of interesting ideas will be offered to spark your creative flair. |

February 26, 6-8 PM The Art of African American Artists: Romare Bearden and Jacob Lawrence. Learn about these famous American artists and the stories they wished to tell. Create a painted collage inspired by these men using bold colors, expansive shapes and textured materials. |

Monday, May 3 With Melanie Baldwin. Learn the ancient but ever popular form of paper quilling. $12 includes all materials. |

Saturday, May 1 With Melanie Baldwin. Learn how to etch on glass. Create a set of 2 wine glasses perfect for a wedding gift or Mother’s Day. $18 includes all materials. |
