The Jackson School of the Arts, a nonprofit 501c3 organization, was founded in 2001 with a vision to create a community where all youth have the opportunity to experience the arts. In the Jackson community there are many fine organizations that offer programs in the arts. Unfortunately these opportunities are not accessible or affordable to every segment of the community.

We offer year-round arts education classes. The majority of our class fees are based on a sliding family income scale. Our programs are funded by the grants and contributions we receive from area businesses, foundations, individuals and the United Way of Jackson County.

More than offering classes, we work with families to provide transportation, costumes, dance wear and instructional materials. We collaborate with community organizations to create opportunities for our students to benefit from Jackson’s many cultural offerings.

At the Jackson School of the Arts we recognize that art is not just about the finished product, it is also about the benefits that accompany creativity.
