Plays! Puppets! Pretend!
Ages: 5-8
Monday 4:30-5:15 PM

Instructor Colleen Flynn

This class explores the creativity of drama in all its facets. From acting out originally conceived stories and plays, to constructing simple puppets and masks, young artists/thespians have the opportunity to be active practitioners of the art of pretend and imagination. The instructor will assist students with their voice and stage presence.  While engaging in cooperative experiences, children will learn how to work together to develop characters and a story, and ultimately, in staging their own performance on the last day of class.  Supply fee $5.

Theater Attendance Policy for ages 8 & up
Theater is a team effort. When a part of the team is absent, the theatrical process cannot run smoothly for the students who are present. Regular attendance in class is expected.  Because each student is vital to the over-all success of the class, please do not enroll if the class dates create a scheduling conflict.

The Jackson School of the Arts is committed to providing the community with quality programming in the arts.

Our small classes, taught by professional instructors, are designed to encourage making, appreciating, and thinking about art. Our programs foster imagination and encourage exploration of personal connections with materials and ideas.

We encourage you to register early to reserve a place for your young artist.
